The Raven transformed the world according to Pacific Northwest culture, among others. Raven stole light and in his hasty escape accidentally dropped some, bringing light to the world at large. Raven is a trickster whose actions often begin as an expression of human ego, or conscious desire. That the results benefit mankind is an expression of his unconscious divine nature. Raven chose to be my spiritual guide and guardian, leading me to deep dives and lifting me to greater heights of expression. As trickster, the Raven joins above and below, divine and human. Everyone has the trickster in their lives that shows up most on the road, not where we are most at home. He heralds transformation.
